From July 12 to 18 in 2019, the first International Summer Camp of Chemistry of Henan University was successfully held in the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. A total of 63 campers from universities in China participated in this activity, including 59 students from Henan University and 3 students from other universities. At the same time, a doctoral candidate from process Engineering Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from Thailand was also invited.

During the activity, five international experts were invited for presentations, including Zhanhu Guo from the University of Tennessee, Zhangqiang from Washington state university, Xiaoyan Ji from lulea university of technology (Sweden), Itoh Toshiyuki from Tottori University (Japan), andSanjay fromIndia. Four domestic experts came from Sichuan University, Sun Yat-sen University, university of electronic science and technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences were also invited. In addition, nine of the college teachers also took part in this activity. 18 academic report were given in total.

In addition, the students visited the Analysis and Testing Centre, the research laboratories, where they interacted with graduate students and foreign postdocs. They also visited the old campus of Henan University and the Museum of Kaifeng.
